    Wusstet Ihr, dass Backgammon eines der ältesten Brettgames der Welt ist? Das Spiel ist ein Mix aus Strategie- und Glücksspiel, fast schon wie in einem modernen Kasino. Die alten Griechen führten die Erfindung von Backgammon auf Palamedes zurück, welcher damit den vor Troja lagernden Eroberern geholfen haben soll, die lange Wartezeiten zu überbrücken. Hey, und in der „verbrannten Stadt“ einer archäologischen Ausgrabungsstelle im Iran, wurde 1920 ein über 5.000 Jahre altes Backgammon-Brett gefunden.

    Ebenfalls wissenswert: Im Backgammon-Wettstreit kommt ein besonderer Würfel zum Einsatz, mit dem jedoch nicht gewürfelt wird. Dieser Spielwürfel wird als Dopplerwürfel bezeichnet und ist mit den Zahlen (keine Augen!) 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 und 64 beschriftet. Das sollte man wissen, wenn man in einem Online Casino einmal eine Runde Backgammon spielen möchte.
